Red is for love, Vahan is forever

Hello, my dear friends! How is your 2020 going ? I hope it’s off to a great start! For the new year (and new decade) I don’t have a list of resolutions to keep, but more a general direction I want to guide myself towards, both with my style and in life. That direction is, keep it simple, stay authentic and be classy.

My exact feelings when I first discover the world of Vahan. At first glance, the designs are classy, cable bracelets that you can snap on, gemstone rings that make fine style statements. Upclose, the pieces are refined and very polished. The pieces felt heavy in hand, the beaded band work is beautiful. Designed and made in the US for the past 50 years, Vahan is true American beauty.

When it comes to fine jewelry, my style philosophy is less is more. For stacking bracelets, I stay with the number of three, enough to make a statement, but not too many to make the wearer appear too flashy or make the jewels look less valued. My favorite gem stone is the London blue topaz, so my first choice is a blue topaz open bracelet , then a similar styled one with diamonds, plus a diamond clasp one that can be open and close single hand because of that Vahan’s specially designed security clasp. As you can see, this combo is truly stunning.

If you love colors, I’d suggest replace the diamond one with other colored gem stone open bracelets and keep the total number to 3. The pink morganite, for example, for a warmer, subtle color combo; or the green peridot for a colder but stronger color combo.

Ring or earrings? It’s totally personal! I love wearing a single statement ring, like this blue topaz one, with a more masculine silhouette. The ring doesn’t even have to be on the typical ring finger, pinky, thumb, index, are all cool choices to make your look more unique. Earrings I also adore simple designs like these drop ones with gem stone, I will most likely wear them with a knit top with some feminine details.

Simple doesn’t have to be plain, minimal doesn’t have to be boring. I hope this post will inspire you to reconsider and restyle some of the classics, and have fun! An early happy Valentine’s Day to you!

<Thank you Vahan for patterning with this post!>
