Dog Year In Style

Hello, my dear friends! I have lots of new inspiration for you because I just spent the past week in New York City attending New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2018! But first, Chinese New Year!

2018 is the Year of Dog, which symbolize royalty and honesty. I think it is the perfect time for us to ride with tide, focus more on be authentic but not self-righteous, build and nourish great relationships.

Lunar new year in Asia is as big as Christmas in the western countries. When Farfetch asked me to style an outfit for Chinese New Year, I immediately thought of the tradition of us wearing something red, something new, and something decorative. An outfit incorporate all those elements, merged with the current trend of luxury lounge wear, makes up my final look. Check out the full article on Farfech for a Q&A on Chinese New Year traditions as well as another cool outfit with completely different vibes.

One thing to note about this look, it can be for any occasion that requires a little dressing up. Each piece are laid back enough that they can be styled separately with other designs for an everyday outfit on the fly. The feather trim of the jeans are actually detachable for cleaning purpose.

Happy Year of the Dog! What is your Chinese zodiac sign?
